Ladhar ,ਲੱਧਰ ਕਲਾਨ (ਗੋਤ੍ਰ لدهر (लधर)[1][2] Ludher ਲੁਧਰ (लुधर) and Lidhar ਲਿਧਰ (लिधर) is a gotra of Jats. Ladhar, Ludhar and Lidhar Jats live in Punjab India and Punjab Pakistan. The variant Ladhar is more commonly used. Ladhar is old Jat ancient Tribe. Mahan Singh Of Thala, ancestor was a Ladhar Jat, who in 1760 seized ten villages in the Phillour Tahsil, Jullundur, and was allowed by Jat ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh Of Lahore to retain them, subject to the furnishing of twenty-three horsemen, Ano along with this he participated in many small and big wars during the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Of Lahore. He was died in 1828 and his successor was Sardar Sardul Singh Of Thala.

Ladhar Village was settled by Jat Sikh Mahan Singh (Ancestral Chief): Historical record from the (Jat Chiefs) identify Mahan Singh Thala Ladhar as a significant ancestor of the Ladhar Jat Family in the Phillaur area. Around 1760, he seized several village in the Phillaur Tehsil and was later allowed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh . to retain them in exchange for military
service ( furnishing horsemen). Ladhar Caste (Clan) traces its origins back to the Multan region (Now in Pakistan) before migrating eastward into various parts of Punjab.

According to the Kursi Nama, Hazrat Adam Ala-Islam, who was called Shiv Shankar or Mahadeva in Hindi, was mentioned for 18 to 20 generation ago and Hazrat Ala-Islam Who was called the second Manu and his 270 Yard grave is located in the Manda District of Gujarat, Kathiawar, and in that country he was called Manu Maharashtra i.e ,the king of a Large Fleet. (Buddha Mandu) Hazrat Nooh Aala-Islam Narula had seven sons. His first wife was Sadha and the sons were Shem, Haam and Yafith. And the second wife, Wala , who was his wife, born sons from her womb, named Cannan, Yarn, Har Harand Ajam. These five mother and sons who were disrespectful, did not sit in their boat with Hazrat Nooh ala-Islam and obeyed his order and their boat was droned all the all five die. and upon and again they return and took Hazrat and led the lineage of the first three sons.
